Positive: Cozy and easily accessible apartment, perfect for a short stay. It was spotless and recently refurbished, with a modern and welcoming feel.

Positive: Once I got accustomed to the location, my choice to rent a place close-ish to the Metro (Pierre et Marie Curie station) proved smart because the Metro is like the key to the city as it can get you virtually anywhere you want to go. The location is safe and there is a fine grocery store at the end of the block, as well as two boulangeries within a short distance.
Negative: I didn't like--was really angry and upset about--being locked out of the building my first night (and needing to rent a hotel room) because I had not been given the proper code to open the building's front door. When I had first arrived, I was told the door lock was broken and I would need a "sharp object" (presumably to pick the lock). Fortunately, someone was coming out as I was going in, and they let me in. Then I was able to access the lockbox and retrieve the keys. But I didn't know until much later that evening (11:30 pm) when I returned to the building that I couldn't get in. I called (international calls from my US cell phone) the hostess/property manager and left messages, but it was only the next morning, after I checked out of my hotel, that I met up with her and she explained the code for the outside door. If only I had known when I arrived I would have saved an unexpected 100 Euros I had to spend for the hotel room. I also didn't like that I was never able to figure out how to operate the TV (no instructions), and never did find the QR code to access the Wi-Fi.
Summary: Didn't start well, but much better once I got the front door code!

Positive: The communication with the host was perfect, she was always helpful and replied fast to my messages. The accommodation was close to the metro and to the supermarket, which was great. Despite being close to the metro, it is not so close to the center (around 40 min).
Negative: Suggestions to improve the accommodation: Add a curtain to the window for more privacy and to block the sunlight if you want to sleep until later, and replace the table for a smaller one. The space is very small, it was difficult to move such big and heavy table. Lastly, the instructions on how to connect the internet could be more clear, it was not so obvious. I suggest printing a paper with the password and put it next to the tv, it would be much more faster.
